Kiteracing Oceanic Championships are for the experienced tactics specialists and lovers of high speed. A series of qualifying races are run around a marked course. Races are approximately 12 minutes long and the final is a winner-takes-all race which builds the excitement both for the television audience and spectators. Results from this event will go towards a 12 month rolling world ranking calendar in the IKA World Course Racing Championship.

The event provides WA with the enviable opportunity to be positioned as a high profile kiteboarding destination with a stunning environment and exceptional world class conditions.

Six days of blue skies, fresh winds and extreme speed take off into the Indian Ocean with qualifying races and a final winner-takes-all battle. Results roll into the world ranking calendar in the IKA World Course Racing Championship.

Watch Australia’s longest kiteboarding race as the competitors traverse 19km of Indian Ocean launching at Rottnest Island in the Lighthouse to Leighton taking pride of schedule on Saturday.

There will be a tsunami of extra curricular activities at the waters edge, movie nights, tasty pop-up food outlets and of course, amazing music!
